The Globalwide Association Wellness Center is home to over 25 weekly wellness programs and activities. Programming for caregivers ranges from self-care workshops to mitigate stress and tension to personal training sessions tailored to caregivers’ unique needs and fitness goals. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our talented and dynamic wellness volunteers and donors, caregivers are able to practice yoga or simply get their hair cut and styled without having to be far from their loved ones.
The center offers a serene, peaceful space to have a cup of tea or coffee, a fresh smoothie or healthy snack, read in the sunshine, or simply take a rare moment to oneself. In the spirit of meeting the needs of our diverse House population, programs such as seasonal and cultural cooking, knitting lessons, DIY craft projects, and guided walking tours of New York City are regularly scheduled throughout each month.

Providing healthy meals so families don’t have to worry about breakfast, lunch or dinner. our stocked kitchen and volunteer-made meals means that caregivers can focus on important things, like being with their child during treatment. This service is made possible through our generous Corporate and Community Groups who donate breakfast, lunch or dinner to ensure that our families are well fed with fresh, wholesome foods.
Our House is your home, so each family at the House is assigned into one of our four large kitchens and are given a kitchen cabinet equipped with a lock and key. Our Parents Pantry program lets parents stock up on staples at no cost. Parents and caregivers can even use our kitchens to prepare their favorite foods. After all, a little taste of home can go a long way. Families often tell us how much they look forward to these in-house meals as something they can rely on when they come back from a long day at the hospital.
Carefully curated programs for all ages and interests.
We are proud to provide a robust array of programs for diverse ages and backgrounds. As our population changes, whether in age, interests, or availability, we make changes too. Our aim is to be as flexible as possible and have developed program models to meet the wants and needs of our patients, siblings, and caregivers wherever on their journey they may be.
Globalwide Association hosts over two dozen weekly (or in some cases, twice weekly) programs with recurring, set times and days of the week. Our space is well-used and well-loved. The Playroom is open from 10:00am to 9:00pm every single day, every holiday, and every rain and snow day without exception! All who enter our Playroom are encouraged to “choose your own adventure” and explore as they wish.

We endeavor to provide our patients, siblings, and caregivers with truly memorable experiences at Globalwide Association House New York. We created special programs like Great Days to do just that. Through the Great Days program, we bring families on incredible donated trips in Colorado and beyond. These trips allow all patients, siblings, and caregivers—regardless of age or background— to get out of the House, forget about the hospital, and make long-lasting, happy memories together.
Throughout the year, our families can spend Great Days together on private museum tours, visiting local landmarks, crafting at The Craft Studio, or making edible cookie dough at DO Cookie Dough Confections. They can take in Mets games at Citi Field in the comfort and safety of a private box suite, join us for private, pre-release movie screenings, or take in the city on a private yacht. Among the most beloved Great Days we offer are beautiful summer days spent at private beach and country clubs, where children swim and caregivers finally find the time to relax. These days are not only treasured, but incredibly transformative. All of these Great Days are generously donated by the locations and groups we visit.
